We aim to develop a collection of resources on complex mental health & addiction RECOVERY support
Personally, I know this is true because I’ve experienced it and I’ve seen it happen in other people’s lives.
But, I’ve also seen other people with a dual diagnosis get pushed from pillar to post or never manage to get to the point where they’re willing to do something about their addiction issue because to some degree, they still believe that it’s working or that they couldn’t cope without it.
This needn’t be the case though!
My name’s Jon Caldbeck and I have a dual diagnosis of alcoholism & schizophrenia and I’m one of the lucky ones today although I think everyone who knows me knows that I’ve had my struggles along the way…
I aim to develop a comprehensive resources for 3 main groups:
- Those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorders.
- Carers, families, & friends of those who suffer with co-occurring disorders.
- Addiction & Mental Health Professionals who need more information about free dual diagnosis resources and support groups.
In an ideal world, I’d also set up support groups for families specifically for families and carers of my favourite groups of people but that is out of my comfort zone of computing & coffee so if anyone else feels like taking up that challenge then I’d happily help to promote your organisation.
We are also seeking to create connections with addiction and mental health-related organisations so feel free to get in touch using the contact form on our contact us page.
