About this Opportunity:
The Dual Diagnosis Hub CIC Â (Community Interest Company) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health & addiction issues, their families & supporters, and dual diagnosis professionals.
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and inclusive platform for education, advocacy, and holistic support services for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. As the Director of the Dual Diagnosis Hub CIC, you will play a vital role in overseeing the strategic direction, operational management, and community engagement initiatives of the organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan to fulfill the organization's mission and vision.
- Provide visionary leadership, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish organizational goals and objectives.
2. Operational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dual Diagnosis Hub CIC, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, monitoring financial performance and reporting to the Board.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
3. Program Development and Evaluation:
- Identify gaps in existing services and develop innovative programs to address the needs of individuals with a dual diagnosis.
- Collaborate with dual diagnosis professionals to design evidence-based interventions and support services.
- Establish outcome measures and evaluation mechanisms to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
4. Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain partnerships with local stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations.
- Represent the organization in public forums, conferences, and meetings, advocating for the needs of individuals with a dual diagnosis
- Foster a supportive and inclusive community by organizing events, workshops, and support groups.
5. Fundraising and Resource Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial resources for the organization's sustainability.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, grant-making organizations, and corporate sponsors.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and manage reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology, public health) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a non-profit organization or similar setting.
- In-depth knowledge of dual diagnosis, mental health, and substance use disorders.
- Familiarity with relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in the field.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement long-term plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in program development, evaluation, and outcomes measurement.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships and engage the community.
- Proven track record in fundraising, including grant writing and donor cultivation.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

7. Team Development and Management:
- Recruit, hire, and provide leadership to a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring their continued growth and development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support staff in achieving their goals.
8. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring sound financial practices and fiscal responsibility.
- Monitor financial performance, track expenses, and prepare regular financial reports for the Board of Directors and funding partners.
- Identify opportunities for cost-efficiency, revenue generation, and resource optimization.
9. Public Relations and Marketing:
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to raise awareness of the organization's services and impact.
- Utilize various channels, including social media, website, and traditional media, to disseminate information and engage the community.
- Cultivate positive relationships with media outlets, respond to inquiries, and coordinate media appearances.
