Before you begin

It is highly recommended that you complete ‘Introduction to SMART Recovery’ before attempting this course.

About this course

Aim

To understand the tools, methods and underlying theories of SMART Recovery and be able to apply them to your own life experience.

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the principle tools and methods used in the SMART Recovery 4-Point Programme.
  • Apply tools and methods to their own experience.

Course structure

The course is made up of 4 modules, each covering the 4-points of the SMART Recovery Programme.  Within each module there are videos and presentations for you to watch, reading material and worksheets for you to download and print.

There are quizzes within each topic and a pass rate of 80% is required in order to progress further.  Don’t worry if you don’t pass the first time, you will be able to attempt the quiz again.

Whilst reading material and worksheets are provided within the course you may also find it useful to purchase a copy of the SMART Recovery Handbook.
