To provide an overview of what SMART Recovery is, what it has to offer and how it works as an organisation.

Objectives

At the end of this lesson, participants will be able to: –

  1. Explain how SMART Recovery is different from other self-help/ mutual aid groups
  2. Provide a brief account of the four point programme.
  3. Describe how the organisation works, the role of facilitators and the partnership scheme
