Northern Region Recovery College:

The Northern Region Recovery College provides free educational workshops to anyone who has an interest in their own Health and Well-Being. This may include Trust staff, individuals who use trust services, carers or anyone within the general public! Our ethos is that everyone is welcome and we all have much to learn from each other! Workshops are all delivered in community settings by experienced peer trainers (lived experience) alongside professional staff (learned experience). These workshops are relaxed, fun and informative.

Where do we deliver workshops?

All of our workshops will be delivered in four areas within the Trust. We hope by doing this that you will have the opportunity to attend sessions within your own local community. You can however attend sessions at any of the locations, regardless of where you live. The four locations are,

• Antrim/Ballymena
• Magherafelt/Cookstown
• Ballymoney/Coleraine
• Larne/Carrick/Newtownabbey

How to register and who can I get information on workshops

To find out more about our service, contact our office directly and request a copy of our prospectus.

We produce a prospectus three times a year: Autumn/Winter (September – December), Spring (January – Easter), Summer (Easter – June).

Our current prospectus and registration form for workshops can be accessed at www.mentalhealthrecoverystories.hscni.net/recovery-college . Complete the registration form and send it to us by email or post.

Registrations open six weeks prior to a new term commencing. Upon registering you will receive a confirmation letter detailing your workshops. Text reminders will also be sent one week before, and the day before the course is due to start.
