What We Provide

We will provide flexible, person-centred, culturally sensitive one to one and group support services designed to tackle mental health and emotional problems, build awareness, tackle stigma and help find solutions. Our services will be delivered by expert and trusted local BAME organisations including workers with lived experience who will act as role models.  

Our partnership is made up of four local BAME-led organisations including the region’s only BAME-led provider of housing with support, an accredited and highly regarded Counselling Service, a leading recovery service and a community-led grassroots Group rooted in and growing out of local BAME communities.  

What Will Be Included

Our support will help young people tackle problems and improve and sustain positive mental health, avoid crisis and improve their lives and their futures. It will include: 

Mental Health Awareness sessions and support 

Helping young people to understand and talk about mental health problems, overcome stigma and shame, recognise signs and symptoms of problems, understand triggers, learn coping strategies and know where to go for help and support. 

One to one and structured group support sessions 

Sessions including support with mental health and emotional problems, relationships, substance misuse, homelessness and housing problems related to offending/anti-social behaviour.

Structured and in-depth therapeutic interventions 

Including accredited counselling and recovery support that will help young people to overcome trauma and tackle the underlying causes of poor mental health and emotional problems.

Positive activities 

Positive and healthy activities including sports sessions.    

Family support 

Including help and advice for parents, grandparents and siblings.
