David & Mike are both concerned about the poor responses some treatment centres can have towards the LGBTQ community. Both inside and outside of the addiction and mental health recovery field there is a lot of ignorance and unsubstantiated prejudice aimed at the LGBTQ community which David and Mike find unacceptable.

The global pandemic has had an extremely negative impact on addiction and mental health which was a contributory factor in Mike and David advancing into a partnership as they recognise the need for unfettered access to affordable authentic and respectful residential treatment. There are life events and elements that are highly relatable to clients who are not members of the LGBTQ community but there are some delicate and exclusive psychological elements that does make this area of therapy and caretaking specialised.
